Builder and Developer
A team with heart and soul.
Pinon Development is a full service building company focusing on custom homes, light commercial, and creating special and unique neighborhoods throughout Chaffee County. We believe that quality, attention to detail, and charm are more important to most home buyers than merely the number of bedrooms, baths and the square footage in a home. Quite simply we believe in quality over quantity.

Pinon Development is owned and operated by Rich Edgington. Rich has a B.S. degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Prior to forming Pinon Development Rich owned one of the largest custom homebuilding companies in Dallas/ Ft. Worth. For nearly twenty years he was a trendsetter in quality and design earning the designation of Certified Master Builder which is given to fewer than 5% of builders. He was also the selected builder for Southern Living magazine for the Dallas region as well as grand award winner for the parade of homes. Rich has served as president of the National Association of Home Builders Builder Twenty group as well as other builder organizations.

Jenn is a Kentucky girl originally, but moved to this beautiful state in 1975 with her family. She attended high school on the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and started her college career at CU in Boulder. She comes from a family of builders. Her father, grandfather and uncles were fine home builders and also built apartment communities and hotels.
She started in real estate in 1983 in her home town of Louisville, KY. In 1997 she was recruited by Phillips Builders, a division of Beazer Homes in Knoxville, TN. There she specialized in marketing. She was a top producer for the division. She became the managing broker for the Knoxville division in 1998 and remained their broker until 2001. During her time with Phillips she became more knowledgeable about the building process and really came to enjoy it. It inspired her to build her family's home outside of Oak Ridge, TN and then to become a licensed builder.
She is a health enthusiast and an environmental advocate. The search for a clean and healthy environment brought her to this beautiful town of Salida. The clean air and water and the healthy lifestyle is exactly what she wanted for her family.
